Guilt Trip.

i feel guilty.
my guilt is woven in different layers as I say hi to Silent Mirage again.
Jak & Jill.

in the mean time,
i hope everyone had a great Halloween.
but don't you just agree that some designers seasonally celebrate Halloween on their runways?

Mindtricking VEGAS

I know I've been quite a failure and haven't updated in days. I just arrived in Korea three days ago and finding my camera cable has been a mission.
Anywayssssss
lots of things on my mind I have no idea where to start.
Pictures I took for this trip were mainly too touristy to upload, i mean i was with mother and you don't get away without a cheesy smiley shot in front of everything.
VEGAS was amazing. So mindtricking and everything felt literally out of a movie. Not a glimpse of nature except for the blazing heat. A pure evidence of technology was more like it. The hotels there were unlike anything I've seen or been to. I mean a river inside a hotel with boat tours? An awfully mindtricking ceiling that looks like a perfect day out 24/7? A water fountain that dances to the music? Shops opened until 12 am? A billion umbrellas hanging from the ceiling?
okay enough about Vegas.
i have to say RIP to the one and only Michael Jackson who is getting a FIVE day funeral and expecting a grander funeral than the queen, John Lennon or Elton John.

We went swimming, drinking, talking... the chill shit.

Anyways i left the place a little bit too late aka no more subway aka fucking jam packed shuttle bus home but ye.. all in all fun night.

And after reading J's post, yayayayaya vegas is MADDD FUN .. the shopping is great.. the food is great and the people are mad nice. also im glad to hear california isn't its usual burning but anyways. get back to this later on the mean time:

Heat and endless dryness.

I took off to California as soon as exams were out of the way and I'm currently sitting in a hotel lobby with the slowest Internet system and watching the sun.
The weather has been actually quite nice. Not TOO hot. I mean it's still hot for my liking but not the usual California heat.

Last night I was in Vegas. It was actually incredible. I felt like I was in an amusement park. I did snap some pictures to post later. I got a chance to see the Chanel Moscow collection which is quite interesting. The shops in Vegas are opened until 12 am! That's the first... Sadly I didn't find anything but my brother did grab some Dior Homme sunglasses which I will secretly wear one day.

The grand canyon really was something else. It made me feel like the nature is way on top of the humans no matter what. The pictures didn't do justice so I stopped attempting midway.

Tomorrow I'm off to San Francisco. Too much talking without pictures. I know I know borrrrrring. Once I'm in Korea, I will fully update and upload.

I hope you are enjoying the heat??

FEED.

FEED 100 bag = 100 School Meals for Children in Rwanda

FEED 2 bag = 2 Children Fed in School for 1 Year

FEED bags. My newest charity fashion item addiction since TOMS. FEED bags was created by Lauren Bush in hopes of creating good products that will help the world. I love the idea of people supporting causes and getting something they can wear, carry to show their support for the cause.
How FEED bags work: there are different types of bags, toys, jewelry you can purchase and each item has a different purpose for the money raised.
FEED bags relate to the very basic needs of every person. Hunger has taken away too many lives to even count and it is still one of the biggest problems faced in places such as Africa.
The bold four letters spelling out FEED is so right in your face on these bags.
we gotta FEED some children. agreed? agreed.

Staring.

Exams are finally out of my life and I must say it's such a relief. I hated feeling guilty for doing something else when I knew I should be studying. Now I can fully enjoy my freedom YAY.

I can't remember where I got this picture but it's such an intense, beautiful shot of Twiggy. I love the empowering image her braided hair gives and her small face is just framed by it all. She is an inspiration and a living legend.

For me black and white photos are always more powerful. The way contrast is shown and the negative space can be such a statement contrasts to multiple colours. In this shot, the little glow around Twiggy adds almost a holy feeling to it and you can not avoid her stare.

Tonight is a night with thoughts just running through my brain non stop. Mindless thoughts can be a good start for the summer.

Steven Klein

fauxtographer: Steven Klein

Truly an inspirational being. His work definitely defines originality and has a hint of him in them. I love how he takes no risks and how almost all of his images are fucking nude.

Also on a happy note, i'm finally done done done done done done exams and school. Summer is here, but not for long as I start summer school on July 5th..... But hopefully since its only for the first month (July) I'll be out of toronto by august or so.

Love at first sight DOES exist.

Toga, Silk Organdy Ruffles Skirt

Toga, Silk Organdy Pleated Skirt

I was going through the Opening Ceremony Online Shop and came across these skirts from Toga. They immediately caught my attention with their ruffles and layers. Exactly what I'm all about. The details for these skirts are quite exquisite. When the details are done to perfection and never too much or too little then the piece really stands out for me. It's amazing when you fall in love with an item of clothing right away. You just see it and you automatically feel like you must have it. These skirts especially the Blue ruffle one made me feel that way. until i saw the price anyways... These Toga skirts come in a huge overwhelming price tags of $1870 for the ruffles and the pleated for $855.

Opening Ceremony is definitely worth checking out.

if i win the lottery in the next couple months, you know what i will be getting. Ha...

Viktor & Rolf

These designs by V&R can be seen at a production of Carl Maria von Weber’s, Der Freischütz. I find it fucking amazing how these two are so innovative and don't stick to one style. It's great to see designers out there experiment with fashion outside the typical "haute couture" etc.
