H&M COLLABO!

Matthew Williamson’s designer collection for H&M continues on May 14th with a Summer 2009 Collection. Following up on Williamson’s limited fashion range that was launched April 23rd in around 200 H&M stores, the respected London designer has created a special collection that will be available in around 1,600 H&M stores worldwide.

Prada Tansformer

PRADA has unveiled its of the Prada Transformer - a Tetrahedron-shaped structure that will accommodate a range of art, cinema, and fashion events taking place in Seoul, South Korea, from March to July 2009.

The Transformer will be hooked up to cranes, which will rotate and then flip it into four different façade and floor plate configurations - each facilitating a different cultural program. (Basically this wicked building can flip and turn WHOA)

"The Prada Transformer project will be our key communication platform in 2009. The fact that we have selected Seoul to implement it is a recognition of the importance that we give to Asia, Korea particularly, because of its fast growing pace both in the business and cultural space," comments Prada ceo Patrizio Bertelli.


This building is definetely on my Go-to list for the summer.

Saw this painting in the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
This painting was remarkable. Being a fan of the "blue period" of Picasso when he drew a lot of the blue collar workers,the poor.
very moody, dark pieces. Wide use of gray, black, blue, and white. Great depth.

This painting portrays the weight of this woman's burden so well. The way her head is hanging below her sholders, her staright rigid arm positions, almost hollow eyes...
I'm in love with it.

Amazing high top from Raf in a black canvas and multicoloured finish. The canvas upper is covered in multi-coloured loose threads. Sole is black vulcanised rubber and the shoe fastens with a single and double velco strap.

The emboirdery on these high tops are delicate - they need to be worn with consideration.

As one of the newest luggage collections from Gucci, the Gucci Viaggio (Viaggio is Italian for travel) series is based upon clean aesthetics with a certain degree of travel performance. The material at hand is based on a durable, lightweight resin material. A firm representation of the brand is seen via a rubber emblem. Depending on the needs and tasks at hand, the collection has most bases covered from specific uses for laptops to carry-alls and rolling luggage. The collection which debuted last year is available now at select Gucci retailers.

30 HOUR FAMINE!

This time it's personal.

Hey guys, I'd just like to introduce this cause. It's a special one that I think everyone should get to learn a little more about. Basically its called the 30 Hour Famine. People around the world are basically not eating anything for 30 hours, except for juice, water and a single bowl of rice. By doing so, this creates awareness in whats truly going on in the third-world countries.

"It starts with you
The first 30 Hour Famine ever took place in Calgary, Alberta, 38 years ago. It started with a small group of teenagers that refused to sit back and do nothing about the famine in Ethiopia. Because of their efforts, over 1.5 million youth now take part in the Famine events in countries around the world, including Australia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, the UK and the United States."

Chanel Phone. seems like designers are really going out of their boundaries. Designer phones,designer food(i don't think it was created by chanel but you get the idea)

None of the designer phones have made me say "oh wow" yet.
I'm not sure what I feel about this one.
It's interesting but I don't know.
It's one of those things designer create and it takes a moment or two for the rest of us to figure out if we like it or not.
